WCPG - Day 19
Ukraine vs. Italy
Portugal vs. England
Brazil vs. France
Only 2 out of the 8 teams that will start the quarter-finals were not yet World Champions (Portugal & Ukraine). Only Uruguay is missing from the list of World Cup winners. This is therefore the reason why I say that this could be the best World Cup ever!!!
I don't know about you, but I just feel like seeing a new Champion...Força Portugal!!!
Here are the results after this stage.

PS- don't forget to send us the results of the next stage.

WCPG - Day 18
The poor Swiss are out. Great world cup though, they did not take a single goal.
After Portugal, England, Argentina and Germany, today we have Ukraine and Italy another two European teams for what seems to be one of the best quarter final line up of all time.
As to our little game, here are the results:

...all my moves
Here are some of the kids I have inspired:
By the way, I also wrote the song!
Me and the Tiny plane
Here am I at my best. This was the smallest plane I’ve ever flew in. As you can see in the picture, I’m shit-scared of this 10 passenger propeller plane. The funny thing is that I sat right next to this huge guy (he could definitely be a NBA player), and the first thing he told me was:
“- Shit man, I’ve never been so scared in my life…!!!”
I looked at him and there I knew what this thing people call “connection” is, eh!eh!eh!
Anyway, I spent 45 minutes (Orlando à Miami) wondering WHY I still go in these things. When we finally landed, I open my eyes, thanked God for being alive and thought about staying in Miami for good…..
I’m glad to be back in Europe though.
…till the next time I fly!

Joke for the Day...
he wasn't getting any damned respect. Later that morning he went
to a local sign shop and bought a small sign that read, "I'm
the Boss." He then taped it to his office door.
Later that day when he returned from lunch, he found that
someone had taped a note to the sign that said, "Your wife
called. She wants her sign back!"

SARA
She is a very, very special person who fights every day of her life with a smile on her face.
Despite being born with a severe handicap, she is the most wonderful person I know, my inspiration and role model. She is also a pioneer, being the first in the family to participate in activities like flying, horse back riding and acupuncture, etc.
She is also an artist. Painting is her art. She uses a special technique where she draws with her hands in a lighted frame cover with a special plaster.
(Here she is, painting)
In the end the plaster is dried and colored and the final result is obtained after applying a certain amount of varnish.
Here you have one of her most recent works (1x1 m) which is yet to be named (you can send you suggestions). I know I am bias but I REALLY LIKE IT !!!!
I’m going to try to periodically update you on some of her paintings like the one I am showing you below. If you are interested in getting any you can also contact me on the following email address (joao_bruno@hotmail.com), otherwise just leave a comment or check the blog she just started : http://o-blog-da-sara.blogspot.com/

The new player of Portugal
This new guy is truly a genius. This is what some famous players had to say about him:
- Maradona - "He is better than me at my age…"
- Péle - "I want his autograph…"
- Eusébio – “I didn’t know one could do that with the ball!?!”
- Ronaldo –“I wish I was as elegant as he is!”
My sister Sara (http://o-blog-da-sara.blogspot.com/; http://home.tele2.ch/joaobruno/) found him and I think he will have a brilliant career. What do you think??
Ready for a quiz?
Try to guess which movie this snapshot is from. The actors were erased from the picture to make it...harder for you to guess!!!
Give it your best shot. Post your guesses on the "comments" below. I'll let you know if you got it right.
Good luck !!

Quem não salta...não é Português!!!
The song was one of the hymns for the Portuguese team during the EURO2004.
If you are Portuguese, just listen to it and tell me the truth, doesn’t it make you feel like dressing the Portuguese jersey, paint your face red, green and yellow, and go support our team?????

The World Cup as Started!!!!!
The World Cup has started and with it the hopes of millions of fans spread around the world. I have to tell you that I am supporting PORTUGAL, and I’m hopping that we can outshine our last EURO2004 participation, where we managed to come second and became the European vice-champions of football (aka soccer).
The Portuguese debut was played in Cologne (which means “colony” in Portuguese), against the Portuguese ex-colony Angola, who played for the first time in the world cup. Ironic ain’t it?

In a game charged with emotion and mixed-feelings, Portugal had the best start in a major competition of the past 20 years beating the lacks of Angola by 1:0. The major star of the game was one of the common suspects: Luis FIGO. He played a great game with the highlight being his assist for the Portuguese goal (watch the video below).
With 3 points in the bag we are now preparing for the big game against Iran and while loudly supporting our “Angolan brothers” in their quest for the second stage.
Força Portugal!!
